Our firm was established in September 2009 and our focus has always been on providing an excellent service that ensures your interests are protected.

We have three members of staff who may be acting for you in your transaction – they will be supervised by Simon West, our Head of Practice.

SIMON WEST – Head of Practice
Simon qualified as a solicitor in January 2010 and has since acquired considerable experience in property law. Simon joined Specialist Property Lawyers in September 2013 and became a Director in 2015 before becoming Head of Practice in December 2016 having shown exceptional service to our conveyancing clients.

LORRAINE DOWN – Licensed Conveyancer
Lorraine initially joined Specialist Property Lawyers in 2012 in the capacity of administrator having gained a law degree in 2008 and post-graduate diploma the following year, she subsequently trained and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer while working for us. In 2016 Lorraine was appointed a Director of the company.

Jackie has considerable experience in the conveyancing field having worked for a number of local firms since 1987. Jackie joined our company in December 2016.

In addition to the staff members detailed above we have a number of support staff to assist in the progress of your property transaction:

Allison joined our team in 2020 and has many years of experience in the conveyancing sector. Allison’s role is predominantly based in the area of pre-exchange and post completion work, although she regularly supports our fee earners and clients more generally in all aspects of their buying and selling process.

ALEX JULIAN – Legal Support Assistant
Alex issues estimates and opens new transaction files while assisting our lawyers with their workload. Alex is the newest member of our team having graduated from the University of Brighton with a law degree in 2017.

Heidi and Alex are often the first people you will see when you call into our offices with ID documents and initial forms, both have a working knowledge of all transactions as they progress through the conveyancing process so please feel free to ask them for updates at any time.

HEIDI WELLER – Administrator
Heidi has worked for the firm since August 2010 – she issues estimates and endeavours to make contact with potential clients to ensure estimates are received and to answer any queries that may arise.
